The parent identity was inspired by the Bistro's iconic location, overlooking the magnificent, medieval ruins at Hauz Khas. Evocative identities and collaterals were developed to convey the distinctive themes of the individual restaurants within the complex: Mohalla–the flavours of old Delhi, Terrace in the Sky—the feast of the kings, Village Bar—the picturesque open-air bar and Darbar—the royal banquet halls. As an integral part of the identity design, restaurant colateral, environmental graphics and print promotions were also developed.
Distinct Flavours
Evocative identities and collaterals were developed to convey the distinctive themes of the individual restaurants within the complex: Mohalla–the flavours of old Delhi, Terrace in the Sky–the feast of the kings, Village Bar–the picturesque open-air bar and Darbar–the royal banquet halls. As an integral part of the identity design, signage and print promotion were also developed. An in-depth brochure and a leaflet were designed as promotional giveaways for The Village Bistro restaurant complex. While the brochure showcases the unique nature of each restaurant space, the leaflet celebrates the historical heritage which serves as locational setting to The Village Bistro.
New restaurant properties by the same promoters were launched under the name Calypso, adjacent to the Village Bistro, including Marco Polo—world cuisine restaurant, 2010—lounge bar and club, Big Fish—sea food specialty restaurant and Le Café—wifi coffee shop.
